Chamet OTP code not received: how to fix it
Updated
If the Chamet OTP code does not arrive, check the country code and phone number first, wait at least a minute before requesting a new code, make sure your phone is not filtering SMS from unknown senders, and try another network. Never share the code with anyone.
Fixes, in order
- Choose your country from the list instead of typing the country code into the number field.
- Check the number. In many countries the leading 0 of a mobile number is dropped after the country code.
- Wait 60 seconds before tapping resend; requesting many codes quickly can delay them further.
- Check that SMS from unknown senders or short codes is not blocked or moved to a spam folder.
- Restart your phone or switch airplane mode on and off to reconnect to the network.
- Try again on a different network, or with another SIM if you have one.
- If nothing arrives after a few tries, wait an hour before trying again; carriers sometimes delay bulk SMS.
Still no code?
Message your agency with your country, your mobile carrier and the time you tried. If the code arrives later, do not send it to anyone — a genuine agency never needs it.
Why the code matters
The one-time code proves you own the phone number. Anyone who has it can take over your account, which is why scammers ask for it.
